Our 4t ESO students have been involved in a new project entitled
Reading Circles where , in circle groups , deal with an autonomous study of the graded reader Frankestein (Oxford Readers B1). By means of performing a study role (collector, word master, discussion leader, passage person, culture collector and summariser) , each student dives deep into the novel, prompts open questions and discuss with other his/her views. One session per week will be devoted to this task. And roles will be each week rotated.
To help slow learners, they are provided with a set of question cards to encourage to brainstorm questions and possible answers according to their role assigned.
